18 years of frustration with the State, family members search for over 1600 found

Kosovo institutions, according to family members, have remained negligent of the dawning of the fate of their most loved ones. Disgusted with the commitment of state representatives the family of the missing have decided on December 31st of this year to pay their respects to the cemetery in their municipalities, where Albanian troops who have been identified in the cemetery in Serbia are buried, and not as they have done every year by coming and protesting before the Government.
Nystrete Kumnova, from the Association “mothers' calls”, has said that in March of next year it's been 19 years since the kidnapping of family and nothing has been done in identifying their fate. “Treeza is being held, empty tables, dry tables”, she said, the Voice newspaper.

Kumnova has said they have been waiting for the state of Kosovo to do more for the dawning of the property's fate. And we've had a lot of hopes in the internationals that they'll work hard to whiten the fate of the undiscovered, but they've also neglected”. Kumnova says it is required to dawn the fate of the found ones, but no one has taken this matter seriously. Serbia has archives, but is not being pressured to open these archives”.

Family members demand punishment from criminals

Kumnova said that on December 31st, they will maintain activities for the unemployed.

We will not come to Pristina because we will not know who to address. There is also an institution note, not to travel family to Pristina, we will keep in Gjakova and we will go to the cemetery to pay our respects and appeal from there”.

Kumnova criticises President Hashim Thaci for offering reconciliation with Serbia. The fate of the 1600 Albanians, without bringing criminals to justice, without being told the truth, is plus a sorrow that has made our soul black. He needs as president of the state of Serbia to bring people back, to bring people to justice, is the opposite of reconciliation.
