Like four years ago, under the cheers “Albin Kurti”, “Fitten”, “Shpend”, “Fitore”, hundreds of supporters of Vetevendosje Movement have emerged in “Square. Skenderbeu” to celebrate Shpend Ahmeti's victory in Pristina. Meanwhile, officials of this subject said that those who wanted to overturn the will of the citizens turned themselves upside down.
Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti said Pristina is a city of all citizens and will also be governed, along with all those who want the good for the capital. He did not overlook recent developments. According to him, accusations and slander different from political subjects have tired citizens, but they cannot stop their will for progress in Pristina.
He did not fail to express gratitude to all who voted, to the diaspora vote. On the other hand, Ahmeti urged all citizens, regardless of political beliefs, to join the battle for a better Pristina.
“Pristina is of all the citizens of Pristina, and I will play the joint role, so that Pristina's problems and Pristina's interest can be shared above all else. So I know that you've been happy, I know that we've been fought, I know they've been slandering us, I know they've brought our souls to our throats, but I'm asking you, just like myself, to be together for the good of Pristina. We must continue the path we have started, because it is seen that crime has not yet been finally fought in Pristina. In the next four years, we pledge to work with all those who want the good for Pristina. I am inviting all political subjects, all asamists, NGOs, citizens of goodwill, to join our battle for a better Pristina”, he said.
Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Visar Ymer said Shpend Ahmeti's victory is the victory of citizens. While stressing that the same applies to the citizens of Prizren and Kamenica.
He called the holiday a bit late in Pristina, as elections ended on November 19th. And for that, he said that the responsible are the tendencies of political clans, as he added that the will of citizens braved against these clans that came together to fight Shpend Ahmeti and Vetevendosje Movement.
The elections ended on November 19th, but we're celebrating the victory a week later, because during this week you saw the clan pronto) and the Isa Mustaf clan became together with Ramush Haradinaj's crutch and said we had to reverse the outcome in Pristina. But those who wanted to overthrow your will turned themselves upside down. These guys used PZAP and the CEC, against the will of citizens”, he said, follows Ksp.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Albin Kurti, who is under house arrest, addressed the crowd with one more word. Kurt jokingly said that in the court's decision he wrote house arrest, but that he lives in a rented apartment, he even seized the opportunity to congratulate citizens even for the 28 November celebration, if he cannot meet with them.
While Ahmeti called him past, present, and continuous chairman of Kosovo's capital, Pristina.
That decision included house arrest, but I live in the apartment, I don't have a house. I also live in a building so close to the square that if it were a house, the square would be my yard. So tonight I went out into the courtyard to celebrate the victory of Shpend Ahmeti, the victory of Pristina, all of you, each of you. Our victory is the victory of all of you. That's what everyone knows. Shpend Ahmeti has over 365 votes, so he's got as many days as the year, but Shpend will be here for four years with you and you. Thank you very much for another victory in Pristina, Prizren and Dardan. All in the end, congratulations and November 28th, if I don't see you again until we meet”, he said.
According to him, Shpend Ahmeti's victory is not a narrow victory, as he won against the millionaires of their political clans and media.
In a word of fact, before citizens who had come out to celebrate the VV victory in Pristina, Islam Pacolli of the AKR, who said he said that along with the VV in government, would never allow Pristina to return to the leadership of those who once robbed the capital.
All in the end, Pristina Chairman Shpend Ahmeti invited Pristina citizens to be cautious and celebrate without arrogance, while he added that from tomorrow he will be working for a better Pristina.
By contrast, by today's bail and postal vote count, Shpend Ahmeti has received 861 votes, while against his candidate from the LDK has received 733 votes -- a result that he once again placed as the winner of the Shpend Ahmeti election.
