US President Donald Trump and his Filipino counterpart, Rodrigo Dutterte, have met for the first time at the Vietnam Economic Co-operation Summit in Asia-Peacekeeping.
The picture from the meeting has been distributed by Dutertes' secretary, Christopher Go, while it shows that the Duterte-Trump meeting has been held in an environment where Australia's prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, was present.
The two leaders are also expected to meet within the framework of the Southeast Asian Nations Co-operation Summit (ASEAN), which will begin today in the capital of the Philippines, Manila.
