Switzerland's ambassador to Kosovo, Jean Hubert Lebet, said visas will not be removed for Kosovo until conditions required by the European Union are met.
Hubert Lebet said Switzerland and Kosovo are the same.
We've been poor and we're without a natural resource, but Switzerland has created employment opportunities and so we've run out of youth migration. He said Kosovars will have the opportunity to choose whether to emigrate or not. Kosovo's immigrants are helping a lot in Kosovo, and the revenue coming should be used for beneficial forms, and not just for housing and housing”, said Kuber Lebet at the presentation of the Macedonian Authority for Migration and Migration 2016 Profile.
According to him, Kosovo institutions have solid progress with regard to migration management.
“As far as visas are concerned, we all know that Kosovo is the last country in the Kosovo government to meet these conditions. Conditions are very fair. I don't see the reason to remove the visa regime without meeting these” conditions, Switzerland's ambassador said.
Interior Affairs Minister Flamur Sefaj said migration as a phenomenon has been and is an important part of Kosovo's development.
The fact that Kosovo has a number of citizens abroad shows the importance they have for Kosovo”, Sefaj said.
According to him, recent years involving popular temptation show that it is a challenge for everyone.
