Facebook posts during election silence with calls for voting cost the candidate for mayor of Prizren, Shaqir Totaj with fines of 7 thousand Euros from the Election Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre.
PZAP has found all complaints and claims by BIRN and Internews Kosova on political subject based The PDK, for violations of the election silence. Under PZAP's decisions, calls for voting by the son of the candidate Totaj and deputies of Nezir Cocaj and Duda Balje have submitted violations of the election rules.
A day before the elections, Totaj candidate son Adonis Totaj had posted on his social network Facebook a call to vote on his father and instructions on how to vote.
MP Nezir Chocaj had also acted from PDK ranks.
Meanwhile, MP Duda Balje, in a post on her Facebook page, had called on the Bosnian community to vote on candidate Shaqir Totaj.
The Electoral Panel for Ances and Parashtera also condemned Vetevendosje Movement to 12,000 and 300 euros because of calls on Facebook by Deputy Zafir Berisha Initiative in support of Prizren's presidential candidate, Mytaher Haskuka.
Even in the first round of elections, political subjects were sentenced by PZAP after complaints by BIRN and Internews Kosova for breaking election silence.
For the first round of October 22nd local elections, B INR and Internews Kosova have handed in 112 complaints to PZAP, of which political parties were sentenced to 100,000 euros.
