The UP and the Orthodox Church have a property dispute among themselves, where this church is located inside the UP court.
The communiqué says the management is strongly determined to return to the hands of this institution, either of its students or professors, what is theirs.

By means of this communique, the management of the University of Pristina “Hasan Pristina” finds it necessary to clarify for public opinion the authenticity of the conflict with the Orthodox Church, which is located in the UPI Campus, the current event in the media following the decision of the Court of Appeals on September 27, 2017, with which it rejected the UPI's complaint for a return to the previous state of property was evacuated by the Orthodox Church.
Pristina University in 2012 has filed indictments for the return of this property to the exploitation of its university and students, for which it was originally dedicated. However, at the preparation session, the representative UP's cannot participate because (as we have been declared for the media in all communities and at the conference called) when invitations were accepted through mail, in the reactors during those days there were protests, and therefore the invitation has failed to be forwarded to the legal office. The basic court of 26.11.2015 (connected to the document) has issued a ruling considering the UP's indictment to be dropped. Through the legal office, UP has immediately applied for the case to be returned to its previous state, namely. in the situation before you issued the 26.11.2015 act, but this request by the same tribunal has been rejected with a right decision. 18.1.2016 (connected the document). The same as the Constitutional Court has acted as did the Court of Appeals, which at a date session. 27.9.2017 (connected to the document) has issued the verdict, refusing the UPP representative's complaint as unfounded.
In this regard, it is worth explaining to the opinion that the current management of the University of Pristina has not been in the direction of this institution in the period when this decision was made, by 26/11/2015, respectively. Current management of UP's has come to the helm of Pristina University “Hasan Pristina” with the date 1 April 2016.
In spite of that, we stress that this Management is strongly determined to return to the hands of this institution, either of its students or its professors, what is theirs. As a result, we guarantee that legal ways will be followed that will enable the return of his property to Pristina University, under the circumstances mentioned above, to be owned by the Orthodox Church located at the UP's Campus.
Management The UP's has not given up its property, despite the numerous efforts of some persons or interest groups to present the current management as such. Consequently, even the University of Pristina Steering Council at the latest meeting has formed a Special Task Force tasked with ensuring the support of institutions to follow this issue on legal grounds until the final return of this property to the exploitation of its students.
