Brnalic said she was referring to general beliefs, and the number of those who died during the detention period.
Perhaps such a view is not politically correct, she said, where she added that it was her personal opinion, reports <x0b92”, the Periscopi broadcast.
“I don't think the tribunal has participated in reconciliation in the region, but has contributed to narrowing relations in the region. How can it be talked about the efficiency of the judiciary in Serbia when there has been a 13-year process in The Hague against Scheele, who was released,” said Brnabiq.
The prime minister made these statements on the occasion of ICTY President Carmel Agius' official visit, which will be in Belgrade by Thursday.
As I announced The CY, Agius will meet with senior Serbian officials to discuss “facilitating regional co-operation in prosecuting domestic crimes committed during the conflicts of the 1990s, the legacy of the tribunal and the possible establishment of an ICTY Information Centre in Serbia. ”
When she was asked if she knew the reasons for Agius' visit, Brnabyk responded to “I don't know the reasons”./Periscopi/
