A powerful explosion occurred just minutes ago (at Saturday evening) in the outskirts of Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh.
According to Al Jazeera, responsibility for the attack was taken by rebels known as “Huth” from Yemen. “Huth” is a rebel military group operating in Yemen.
Rebels “Huth” have said they fired a ballistic missile on the capital of Saudi Arabia. According to the rebel group, this long-range missile traveled over 500km from Yemen to Saudi Arabia.
A rebel spokesman told Al Jazeera they hit Riyadh a Burkan 2-H rocket late Saturday.
Al Mashah, a TV network led by the rebels Houthi, also reported that the rebel group “Huth” claimed responsibility for the attack.
Saudi Arabia Kingdom officials have not yet officially reacted to the event.
