I was thrilled because for the first time in two and a half years I saw the children”, Besnik Aydin, declared, acquitted of charges in Kumanovo case.
Describing his journey from the moment of arrest to the Shutka prison, Besnik said that he, along with other members of the group, had been mistreated by police forces. What bothered Aydin most was that he did not know why he was arrested.
I've been taken to the police station, where I've stayed until May 10th evening questioning various inspectors. Then I was taken to the Constitutional Court Skopje 1. When they actually took me there, I didn't know what was going on, they took me in before the investigative judge, they gave me a statement, when they brought me back to the hall, there came the Kumanovo group, I saw them there for the first time, they were so sorry, they were bleeding, they were badly beaten... then from there beating us up the special unit to the Shutka prison, they beat us”, he told T. He said they have already talked to the lawyer to ask for compensation.
The joyful mother, who has been returned to her son, says that they have experienced his absence very seriously. And they had it even harder when the children were looking for his father.
