During his speech at the Scientific Conference at the Security Academy, Prime Minister Rama indicated that the process of cleaning police from corrupt or incompetent elements would continue in the state police.
Public security cannot be created by isolated approaches or processes. We will promote processes that enable joint efforts of legislative structures. Some Task Force's fine experience is a great test of synergy.
The force of the Law will also serve to consolidate inter-institutional and international co-operation. The continued modernisation of the legislative structures is a priority.
Financial resources and technological capacities can only be faced through rapid modernisation.
In this context, the academy has a leading role and we will continue to support it in curriculum and technology, which should be led by teachers of this academy. Cleaning up the security lines is the necessary and undisputed precondition. We did what we could. The historic process of cleaning police from corrupt or disabled elements will continue at state police”, Rama said.
Meanwhile, Minister Xhafaj said the operation warned by police “The Law force” is evidence of the government's commitment to the fight against organised crime.
The recently adopted law force “testifies to the government's political and institutional will and other law enforcement agencies in the non-competitive fight of organised crime. The government-aligned budget for the Interior Ministry for 2018 is also a clear indication of the will of this government to live these major projects. This is the highest budget of at least 10 years, with a 70% increase compared to the year we have just closed. It would go mainly for investment in technology in the field of investigation and scientific equipment, lack that has significantly affected the effect of crime detection”, the interior minister said.
