Public debt totals around 1 billion euros

The Kosovo Central Bank in its report for this year's second three-month report has estimated that expenditures, almost all categories, were characterised with growth. “Malls and services (including municipal spending) marked 8.2 per cent growth and reached 94.9m euros. Subventions and transfers marked increases of 9.0 per cent and reached a total of 230.9m euros. The highest growth marked capital investments, which reached the value of 159.3m euros for 18.7 per cent more compared to the same period last year”, the BEC report said.
Public debt reached 947.5m euros in June 2017, which points to a 15.3 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. As a percentage of BPV, public debt has reached around 15.5 per cent from 13.8 per cent. This public debt increase is attributed to an increase in external debt of 15.5 per cent, whose value has reached 443.0m euros and domestic debt of 15.1 per cent 504.5m euros.
