The Vetevendosje movement has announced that today it will hold protest marches to call on the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and all state authorities to urgently assume their responsibilities to whiteen the circumstances of Astrit Dehar's death.
The march will begin by 1500, at the National Library in Pristina.
Here's the full announcement:
Sunday, November 5th takes place a year from the day Astrit Dehari died, under violent circumstances, in state hands, in Prizren prison cell.
Astritus was unjustly imprisoned. But he was a militant of law, society, and politics. Despite all the demands of society, within and outside the Republic of Kosovo, responsible institutions have not enabled an independent, impartial and reliable investigation that would whiteen the circumstances and causes of his death.
Astrit Dehari is no longer simply a matter of clarifying the circumstances of the deaths of a political prisoner. He is our national and social conscience. A mark of our commitment and common will, of free and just society. On Sunday, we invite you to march and protest jointly to call on the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and all state authorities to take their responsibilities urgently to whiteen the circumstances of Astrit Dehar's death.
At 1500 before the National Library, we seek Justice for Astria.
