Reports that the prosecutor, who is expected to investigate the case of allegations on the UN chief state prosecutor Aleksander Lumezi's legalisation file, Metom Munishi, was a Lumez advisor several years ago, has dismissed Munich himself.
He said in a proposal for Insider he was never Lumez advisor.
Munishi, who was elected leader of the Rana Crime Department in Pristina in May this year with the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, has said he has started working as a prosecutor at the end of 2012, at the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan.
I went to the US in August 2013 at a 1-year schooling organised by the American Embassy in Kosovo. After returning, I worked a few months in Gjilan”, he said.
KTV reported In the evening that “Munish for several years was also Alexander Lumez's adviser during the time that he was head of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council”, but according to Munich, that is not true.
With a decision by the Prosecutorial Council on May 25th, I started working as an adviser to the National Co-ordinator's Office for the Fight against Economic Crime and Corruption by September 30th 2016”, Munich said of the Iseder.
Lumez was for several years until January 2016, chairman of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, but Munich says he was not his adviser.
Munich was elected prosecutor at the Department of Criminals in Pristina in October 2015 and on May 30th 2017 has been elected Leader of the Randa Crime Department in Pristina.
He's shown his job.
“During the time I worked as adviser to the Co-ordinator's Office for Combating Economic Crime and Corruption, I was also a rapporteur for European Integration by the State Prosecutor, a job that I did after the official for integration Ehat Miftaraj had resigned from that post”, Munich said.
