Prizren Community Director Before Court

Bujar Hasani, the director of inspectors in the Prizren municipality, who is accused of abuse of office and usurping property because he did not remove metal construction from this city's Historical Zone through his lawyer, rejected the indictment.

Haser Susur, the lawyer of accused Bujar Hasani, said evidence filed on the prosecution has been illegally taken and as such does not stand.

All proposed evidence has not been taken legally by Kosovo Police in the phase of investigations, as well as by state prosecutor”, said lawyer Susur.

Even Enver Bytyqi's lawyer, construction inspector in the Prizren municipality, who is accused of not preventing his boss from building the construction, rejected the indictment.

Skender Morina, Bytyqi's lawyer, said he has submitted a written request for a rejection of the indictment against his defenders.

If the court does not approve this request, during the main review we will try to argue the innocence of the accused”, attorney Morina said.

But prosecutor Mehdi Sefa rejected the lawyers and asked the court to decide on continuing the trial.

I request from the court that the objections of the defence parties to drop the indictment were rejected, because objections have no legal basis and support in concrete evidence”, prosecutor Sefa said.

According to the indictment, Bujar Hasani was charged with taking advantage of the inspectors to benefit for himself without removing metal construction in Prizren's Historical Zone.

The metal construction, according to the prosecution, was the continuation of the “Felas”, Bujar Hasani property.

The indictment shows that from January 2015 to now Hasan has illegally usurped Prizren's real estate in the city's protected Zone.

Enver Bytyqi is accused of taking no inspections so far to begin removing metal construction established by his boss from 2015.
