Another coalition among the conservatives of Chancellor Angela Merkel and the SPD's Social Democrats represents a good opportunity for Germany, said Horst Seehofer, CSU leader, Merkel's bavarese CDU ally today.
Two months after the elections and despite the recent failure of efforts with FDP and Green Liberals, Angela Merkel is committed to forming a government as soon as possible for avoiding high-risk early elections.
“A coalition between conservatives and SPD is the best opportunity for Germany, best in any respect than “Jamaican coalition”, new elections or a minority government”, Seehofer added in a statement to “Bild am Sonntag<5>.
The ruling CDU coalition project The CSU, the FDP, was named “The Jamaican coalition”, due to the colors of these parties, goes to Atsh.
Merkel cited discussions with the SP yesterday on the basis of common respect and the need to reach a compromise.
