Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli has reacted after the Russian Ambassador's statement to Belgrade, Alexander Cherpurin, who, according to media reports, had stated, among other things, that under all international laws and regulations Kosovo remains part of Serbia. Pacolli describes as sorry that such a high diplomatic title makes similar statements that do not contribute at all to peace, stability and confidence building and reconciliation in the Western Balkans.
“Russia has been part of the negotiation process for resolving Kosovo's final status. It may have been a short time since the United Nations, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and the Russian ambassador have not been reminded, but it is taking advantage of this case to re-remember that the United Nations' Chief Organization, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, had confirmed with its decision that Kosovo's Parliament of Independence does not even violate the International General Law, the 1999 Security Council Resolution or the Constitutional Framework>, says in Pacolli's response.
I just don't know what laws and other international rules are about by Russian diplomatic representative. In support of what was said above, I can give no recognition other than the continuation of the Russian claims on the creation of false news and the creation of confusion in local and international opinion” is highlighted at the end of Pacolli's response.
