Last week, Kosovo Parliament deputy Korab Sejdiu had asked the president of the Republic of Kosovo for information concerning the appointment of judges and prosecutors in the four municipalities in northern Kosovo to assess whether the same have been integrated into the justice system of the Republic of Kosovo, pledging allegiance to the Republic of Kosovo and its constitution and laws.
“These judges and prosecutors have been appointed signing statements that in no country mentions the Republic of Kosovo or the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, but, among other things, mention only Kosovo, Kosovo legislation and the conclusions agreed on the integration process. So there is no way that judges and prosecutors' loyalty to the state of Kosovo is expressed in any way.
Time will tell whether the judges and prosecutors in question are integrated into the justice system of the Republic of Kosovo and whether they will work for this country, despite prececurous data that I shared with you”, MP Sejdiu has said.
According to him, these judges and prosecutors have been nominated without taking the same oath as if they gave all other judges and prosecutors to the justice system of the Republic of Kosovo.
