The new planets may be the best chance of finding foreign worlds capable of supporting life scientists have found 20 new planets that can sustain life, suggesting that there are more habitable places in space than we thought.
The new findings come from NASA Kepler's mission to discover foreign worlds capable of supporting life in the future.
New planets may be the best chance of finding foreign worlds capable of supporting life, say scientists who have examined new research.
The most encouraging of these planets is COI-7923.0. His year lasts 395 days and has 97 percent of Earth's size, but it's colder because of the distance from the sun.
“If you had to choose one to send a spaceship, this would not be a bad option”, said Jeff Coughlin, team leader in the Capler project and one of the scientists who found the new planets.
Planets found as part of this study have 70-80 per cent of being candidates to be habitable, scientists say.
But they need additional work to confirm this, since the Caper space shuttle, used to collect data on these planets, has had technical problems.
The study suggests there are more planets that can support life than we thought before./ 21 media
