Zimbabwe's president's party, Robert Mugabe, today launches procedures for his dismissal.
A party official Zanu - The PF said the motion to remove it from the presidency would be submitted to parliament today and that the process could last only two days.
The motion charges Mugabe on several counts, including allowing his wife, Grace, “usurps constitutional power”.
Military leaders took control of Zimbabwe last week.
Mugabe has refused the party's request to resign.
Mugabe, 93, has dominated Zimbabwe's political scene since the country has declared independence from the UK in 1980.
