Parliamentary life in Kosovo is constantly being marred by the prolonged election campaign before and after the election process.
Mimoza Kusari-Lila, presidential candidate of the Gjakova municipality and Central Kastrati, candidate for mayor of the Kamenica municipality, as well as Gani Dreshey of The PDK for Istog chairman did not participate in the Economic Development Commission, which caused this Commission to fail.
Tribuna Channel tried to contact people in question, but the same didn't answer the phone.
Artan Murati from KDI stressed that a very low intensity of the Parliament's work has been observed and the continued non-participation by commission members running in municipal elections.
Murati stressed that political awareness should be raised on the part of these deputies.
Even Mytaher Haskuka, Kosovo Assembly MP, simultaneously candidate for mayor, stressed that the month-long campaign is negatively affecting both the assembly and commissions.
He stressed that the Law for Elections should be revised.
This phenomenon occurs constantly every time our country gets involved in electoral campaigns.
