Maria Bamieh tells who pressured her not to talk about corruption in EULEX

Maria Bamieh, known in Kosovo for exposing corruption in EULEX, is one of the main topics in British media as she is facing the British court for her role in the EU-based institution's corrupt relatives Maria Bamieh says the Great Britain Foreign Office will not consider [...]

Maria Bamieh says the Great Britain Foreign Office will not review the claims of a secret agreement between EULEX officials and suspected criminals in Kosovo.

Foreign Office diplomats, according to confession she gave for “The Guardian” wanted it as “informants to close one eye” into corrupt relatives in Kosovo's largest EU mission. The same statements, Bamie has been sent to a court in Britain, reports Inseder.

Maria Bamie, a London-based lawyer, said foreign office officials known as the FCO February have refused to take any steps to confirm her claims of co-operation between EU officials and suspected criminals in Kosovo. Instead, she claims that Great Britain officials have told her to ignore illegal payment evidence.

The claims against the Foreign Office have also been made clear in documents presented at the London Central Court. Bamieh's claims against EULEX, the EU mission in Pristina, were published in 2014 in the “The Guardian” but also in the Kosovo media.

Bamieh says she was forced to give up her job as prosecutor in EULEX after finding evidence of her claims that top staff EULEX had taken a bribe and was co-operating with the killers.

EULEX according to the “The Guardian” has cost the EU budget a total of 1 billion euros since it was created for the sole purpose of tracking the “large-scale” found among Kosovo politicians suspected of involvement in organised crime.

Bamie's claims, along with a large number of complicit documents in Kosovo media, as reported in the Guardian” have monitored the impression that EULEX may have become part of the problem that was created to choose. They were reported by Vehbi Kajtazi, then a journalist of “Cohaguere”, now editor-in-chief of Online Gazette “Inside”.

The documents claim that Bamieh, who was employed by the Great British Foreign Office in EULEX, initially raised its concerns with a United Kingdom government official in June 2012.

Bamieh indicates he had met with the head of the British contingent at a bstro bar in Kosovo's capital, Pristina. She had told the diplomat, who was appointed to the Court, that there are relevant documents, including wiretapping transcripts, where people involved in the crimes were informed of her investigations into the case.

She claims, that this senior official, he didn't even look at the evidence, and instead he had advised him to close one eye” on the matter.

These documents indicate that British Foreign Minister officials have repeatedly rejected claims on these charges.

Bamieh's documents sent to the Court show she was telling him about these issues, even the ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Ian Cliff. According to the “The Guardian”, Bamieh had shown these documents to the ambassador at a meeting that took place in 2014.

Instead of reacting, Bamieh shows that Britain has taken no action. Bamieh's lawyer, Peter Dali, one of the human rights specialists, said the case of “Maria Bamieh raises a very disturbing question for the EU as well as for the United Kingdom Government”.

The United Kingdom government has dismissed these accusations, in a pronomination for the “The Guardian” saying it will be left to clear up this whole story.
