However, asmavators certified by the CEC will not be able to officially start work until the second round of elections for 19 municipalities that vote tomorrow for candidates who went to the runoff is over.
That's what they say at the Ministry of Management of Local Power, under which the start of the work of municipal states will be launched about a month later.
MAPL in an answer to Indexline said that based on Article 57 of the Local Self-Government Law on Elections, the mayor gives the solemn oath or declaration to members of the Communist Assembly, and from the moment the newly elected president exercises all office and competencies under the law.
According to her, the inaugural assembly meetings of municipal municipalities are held within 15 days of the date of the certificate of the election results for members of the municipal assembly.
“Aday, the certificate of election results for municipal assembly members should be expected in order to establish legal conditions for giving the oath to the mayor and members of the municipalities' assembly, then begins exercising the functions and competencies defined under law”, the ministry's response is said.
According to this estimate, the asampiists must wait until the CEC fulfils the results for candidates to win in the second round of elections -- the period which included recounting boxes and reviewing complaints -- could be a month.
