On the day when two decades of Kosovo Liberation Army's first public appearance was completed, the KLA Veterans' Organisation honoured the people who publicly appeared to speak on behalf of it.
Muj Krasniqi, Daut Haradinaj's Rexhepi, were the first to go out publicly to speak on behalf of the KLA at the funeral of Halit Geci, an educator from Scikyright Lausa, who was killed days earlier by Serbian police during an action in this village.
Haradinaj's Selimi has received the praise plates today.
Muje Krasniqi was killed in late 1998 on the Kosovo-Albanian border.
On behalf of Muja Krasniqi and teachers Halit Geci, the gratitude was accepted by members of their families.
Speaking of this event, KLA OVL Chairman Hysni Gucati listed it among the great events that have covered the history of Albanians during November.
November “28 includes a particular significance because it is November 28th of Skrfbahe, Ismal Kemal, of Adem Jashar and the Kosovo Liberation Army”, Gucati said.
While Rexhep Selimi, now an MP in the Kosovo Assembly, appreciated the gratitude he accepted.
“How often it comes 28 November we don't see ourselves protagonists, we see protagonists who sacrificed. All we did that day is military duty”, Selimi said.
