During the 2010-2014 period, at the time it has been exercising the task of construction inspector in the Pristina municipality, Blerina Syla has said she has made some decisions about the destruction of objects in the capital, which had started to be built without permission. However, it held that the decisions of destruction had not been executed, since the builders were equipped with permission from the Urban Directorate within the municipality.
These statements were made Tuesday before the Pristina Constitutional Court until questioning the quality of the defendant. She and nine other inspectors are facing justice for organised crime, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
Blerina Syla along with the former head of the Inspectorate in Pristina, Ismet Haliti, and other inspectors: Skender Canolli, Vehbi Abdullah, Dr. Rukiqi, Blerim Ibishi, Ardian Muhadri, Arbenita Ajeti, Mergim Shala and Granit Cenaj are accused of failing to stop construction without permission, as well as of failing to discuss decisions about the destruction of objects that were illegally built in Pristina's municipality.
