Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has demanded that there be a complete dawn of the case following the Kumanovo Group's condemnation by a court in Skopje, among which there were 19 Kosovars, while he has not ruled out an international investigation into the dawning of truth.
He during a joint media conference with Finance Minister Bedri Hamza said he has also been invited to clarify Republika Macedonia's ambassador to Kosovo.
Haradinaj has said that for the recent events of the Albanian trial that took place in Skopje, they are citizens of Kosovo, and should be addressed from the time of the tragic event, where Kosovo citizens were killed until yesterday's decision.
“We have been conveying with concern developments about this “Kosovo”, since the time of the tragic event in Kumanovo, where Kosovo citizens were killed. We've taken some action, yesterday and today, we've invited our ambassador to Skopje through the Foreign Ministry, and this minister has also invited Macedonia's ambassador here to talk. What I can say with the greatest concern for our relations with Macedonia. There are many arguments that really make it necessary to pass this judicial process into the hands of international prosecutors, prosecutors, judges, because it has to be thoroughly analysed by the mysterious circumstances of the event then and all other national and international aspects perhaps of that tragic event to a truth, to justice, because no one is against justice and the truth of intent, we think that coming out of a rerun situation yesterday is precisely entrusted to international justice<3>, Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed.
The prime minister does not know exactly how this issue should be initiated in the international instance, but has taken the example of the Special Court for Kosovo from the international factor so that all vagueities or dilemmas about the truth in the case “Qumanova” can be removed.
“Now they are citizens of Kosovo, most of them, regardless of the work and whatever else is assigned to them, remain citizens of Kosovo. We owe interest to the fate of Kosovo citizens, but in this case our interest is to find the truth, because we don't have a clarity on how this can be initiated, can the international community be proposing. Because in our case the international community has proposed to us a Special Court, and in the case yesterday it's good to intervene the international community to offer a trial since the beginning of events and dimensions of that event, to the present day, in order to remove all vagueities or dilemmas about truth and establish justice”, he stressed.
The seven members of the Kumanovo Group were pronounced life in prison, for others a total of 746 years in prison, while only four were acquitted. Of them 19 are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, one is citizens of the Republic of Albania, one is German citizens, and the others are Albanians from Macedonia.
