The country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has said producers are left alone, and for a year businesses lose over 300m euros in energy shortages.
Haradinaj made these comments at the conference organised by the Kosovo Producers Club aimed at providing energy to the sector in Kosovo, renewable energy, where Haradinaj said the Government would be their partner in all the challenges they face.
The only thing left with additional problems is energy. Energy supply, so I find this problem to be real. Business losses amount to over 300 million a year, so to speak, the low amount or the low supply is a problem. Also very serious is the interruption in most cases of unannounced interruption that causes serious problems. .... It must be said that Kosovo has an emergency, increased generation capacity in the tank not only in the renewable one, but in ours. I think Kosovo can start a period of energy sustainability with fall capacity that warns them with New Kosovo ... The government will be your partner, will be with you in all the challenges we have in common to realise because the front line or front are the producers, Haradinaj said.
Astrit Panja, executive director of the Kosovo production club, has said that any euros they earn in exports make calculations in electricity. He also said nobody pays for the product's losses.
Kosovo producers' “Every euro they earn in the expert should calculate the losses in electricity. The issue in this respect is critical because we can't be competitive in the region when we spend all these means on losses. If producers had 300m euros a year, they would invest in new production lines, make products even more competitive, and be regional players. We believe that the power supply is a matter of national security... . No one compensates 300m euros for the manufacturer”, Panja said.
Panja said the club is working to find a modality to co-invest in renewable energy.
While, Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka has said the energy situation is not satisfactory.
“Producers know my position about the current energy situation in Kosovo. It is not a satisfying situation. The losses are mentioned, in addition to losses, are other problems that are quality of energy, are not right. Businesses found slightly weter than the portion of tariffs covered by cities have serious tension problems that help and load production with machine destruction. We have problems with treatment that really needs to be improved”, Luka said.
He has added that Kosovo is the only country in Europe where we subsidise businesses with domestic fees. Since in countries of the European Union it is quite the opposite.
