Haradinaj: We have to take it, test. P ISA has disgraced us

Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MASHT) in collaboration with Deutsche Geselschaft für International Zusamnarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, organised international conference for PISA 2018 “Run together for better education”.

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said on test P ISA Kosovo has a poor level and for any criticism.

He said they don't have time to waste on this.

“We have test P ISA that is very bad and that shames us like Kosovo. My contribution will only be to mention several causes, and we are committed to changing the situation”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.

He mentioned some of the causes of lack of education.

<x) Those with higher averages are not taken. Those who were not the best were able to teach. The second pre-school programmes do not match the necessary parameters for further. Program plans are still experimental. Let's not talk about organizing school infrastructure. We've got a problem monitoring, our schools are a little monitored. We have a huge number of lost hours. We have trouble valuing knowledge, when standards are given in grades they estimate that it's not enough for epilogue. It's good to face the truth to show ourselves that work is not good”, he said.

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqi Bytyqi said they are aware that it is not the proper level of education quality in Kosovo.

This conference also marks a step to improve the state of education in Kosovo. The purpose of this Bytyqi conference said it is to raise awareness of all structures in terms of the importance of this test.

He said August has the full support of the Government of Kosovo as well as of donors, aimed at improving the quality of education in Kosovo.

German Ambassador to Kosovo Christian Heldt said the PISA has great potential to identify challenges in the education system.

We've done the experience in Germany and think that investing in education is the best way to develop cohesion in the educational system. As you know in 2015 Kosovo participated in assessment P The ISA that created a broad debate. Please be sure that we too were shocked in 2001. We took many of those tests, and that's why we need to use them. Knowing the facts that reform in education must be done is a major step.
