Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has responded directly to President Hashim Thaci on the issue of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
The government chief has said there is no chance that in the Kosovo Assembly 2/3 of the votes for the current version of the agreement, while, according to all likelihood, arbitration will be the solution to the issue.
The head of state the previous day had encouraged Kosovo government and the Assembly without delay to ratify this deal under the version signed in 2015.
“Whoever requires academic expertise, exceeding NATO, Washington and Brussels expertise, I believe these are harmful. If we want visa liberalisation, the agreement for demarcation with Montenegro signed in August 2015” must be ratified, Kosovo's number one had declared, Klan Kosova reports.
Thaci's comments came at the time when Kosovo Government and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj are trying to review this agreement, Kosovo reports.
