Finance Minister Bedri Hamza has today argued the Government's decision to remove excise in mazut and gas destined for production.
Hamza said this decision will have effect from January 2018 to help local producers.
“We during the draft of this decision have also taken into account preventing tax evasion by creating an equal market in Kosovo. This is only about energy sources or fuel companies that will benefit, not even farmers and individuals”, the Minister Hamza stressed on the Commission for Business and Finance.
According to him, contractors will not be relieved of this rate. Members of this Commission demanded who are the beneficiaries.
MP Ali Lajci from the Vetevendosje Movement called for implementation of this decision in a precise manner, lest there be various abuses.
Red Brian from the AAK has asked for clarification on this decision, for example, if the mazut goes into producing asphalt, where the minister answered that only applies to fuel producers or energy sources.
The commission starts wording has supported this government decision, which is expected to take effect on January 1st, 2018.
This Commission has also reviewed Kosovo's financial budget report for 2016.
Minister Hamza has argued this report in question, saying 3.5 per cent had more spending on wages and wages, while there has been a reduction of spending of 2. 5 percent compared to 2015. In capital expenditures there has been a 10 per cent increase compared to 2015.
Naser Osmani from the LDK has said he appreciates as a success for quick auditing of this report, since there has never been faster auditing. And according to him, the minister is reading a report that wasn't managed by him.
Safette Haverjona thinks there was a good income and spending dynamic.
But she said spending cuts for capital investments are not desirable.
According to Enver Hoti from the employment initiative with contracts for work under this report is over 1300.
Hoti raised the issue of not implementing the dividend by Kosovo Telecom for 2016 and of the large amount of payments for cases lost in courts worth over 6m euros.
Minister Hamza has said that neither in 2016 nor in 2017 did the Divident come together, nor will it be designed in the budget for 2018 to have between Kosovo Telecom or Vala, due to its non-formative situation. According to him, the report has had to exceed the number of employees in public institutions that are illegal.
Before the members of this commission, he also reported Ud. Governor Fehmi Mehmet for 2016, where he estimated that the banking sector has been well capitalised and continues to be a healthy sector.
For this year's projected growth rate is 4.4 per cent. He singled out bank competition in the country.
He also indicated that there was a reduction in banking interest rates compared to 2015.
Mehmet also claimed that there were increases in remittances in 2016.
