After arriving in the Asian state, Trump said that the United States and its allies are ready to defend freedom. During his visit to Japan's Yokota Air Base, west of Tokyo, Trump told hundreds of American and Japanese military troops that no dictator should underestimate the power of the United States.
Trump then met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The two leaders played a golf game with Japanese professional player Hideki Matsuyama. The game on the first day of Trump's visit to Japan took place at the Kasumigasek County Club in Kawagoe near Tokyo. Trump is known as a passionate golfer and owns several courses around the world.
While key talks between the two leaders are expected to take place on Monday.
