Chairman of the Federal Council of Russia: We will never recognise Kosovo

Russian Federal Council Chairman Valentina Matvyenko has said today that “Russia has not recognised and will not recognise Kosovo's independence”.

According to her, Russia and Serbia have always supported each other and continue to support him. Matvyenko has said relations between the two countries are “of brotherly nature”.

“We have never recognised and will never recognise Kosovo's independence”, she said, in a speech given in Serbia's Parliament.

Russia is one of the countries that have not yet recognised the independence of the Republic of Kosovo.
