Eight dismissed Katalonians have been arrested and sent to custody by a Spanish Supreme Court judge over the delay of the region for independence.
Prosecutors have asked the judge to ban eight of the nine former cabinet members who submitted for questioning in Madrid, the BBC reports.
They are accused of rebellion, unrest and misuse of public funds.
The State Prosecutor has requested a European warrant for Catalan leader Carla Puigdemont.
The demand also covers four other Catalan ministers, who have not been submitted to the court.
Spain has been plagued by a constitutional crisis since the referendum, which was held on October 1st in Catalonia, which was opposed to a Constitutional Court ruling that it had declared illegal.
