Applying the Law on Trepca, hostage to a failure to form boards

Promises that soon two boards will be formed, without which the Law for “Trepchen” cannot be implemented, in particular, the promise of Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka that in November the competition will be opened for members of the “Three Board.

The director of “Treps”, Ahmet Tmava, has said that without the formation of boards the Law for “Trepca”, which would pave the way for much needed investments in Kosovo's economic giant.

Tmava has said there have been several meetings in the Government of Kosovo and has demanded that boards be formed as soon as possible, with which the law is being implemented for “Trepca”. And despite the constant insistence that measures have been taken for the functioning of “Trepca” with the first legal boards, Trava says nothing has been taken, though promises have not been missed.

There is still nothing concrete about forming the Manager and Supervisor Board. They have said that in November the competition for the Management Board will be announced, but there is nothing until today. Without the constitutionalisation of the board of management of Shrepca, no strategic decision can be made for the future of the company.

The board's formation also emerges as a request from the Law for X3-Trepcaʹ, approved last year by the government of Isa Mustafa”, has told “Zer” director of “Trepca”, Ahmet Tmava, on Friday.
