A strange Nag call across the Atlantic alarmed the officials of the country's communist regime in the second half of 1989...1989 more for demand than who was calling.
The caller had a special request: She wanted to marry renowned singer Eli Fara, according to the writing of journalist Dasnor Kalucci published today in the Albanian newspaper.

Although the second half of 1989,1989 and many Eastern European states had begun to feel “erias” coming from across the Atlantic, in Communist Albania it seemed that nothing was blowing or moving, and “heirs” were standing in place?
Things were even going backwards and the situation was getting worse because of the extremely difficult economic situation the country was going through, which was directly linked to the isolation policy that continued to apply official Tirana to its leadership.
As a result, the same thing continued in art and culture, and the dictatorship of the Communist regime continued to feel the same way among writers and artists, even for their own fame, name, authority, or certain privileges they enjoyed in and toward the other class of Albanian society, partisan and political control over them was even stronger and more severe. Not only that, but the party and the state through the competent <x0organs” (The State Security) continued to enter and intervene deeply into the private life of people of art and culture, as in the most difficult period they had gone through, the one behind the 11th Song Festival on Albanian Radio Television, the V Plenum of the Central PPSH Committee.
This, among other things, as well as the various archive documents published on various pages of this book, is known by these we are publishing in this chapter, where the highest party and state leadership of the communist regime of Tirana has been alarmed after a US-made call concerning the popular singer Eli Fara.
As we will see in the documents in question, what is noted by their contents is not only the fact that it involves the intervention in the private life of the famous singer, for whom the top leaders of the Albanian leadership of the day have been put in motion, (Lenka Chuco, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Central Committee, Simon Stefan, member of the State Bureau of Political Affairs, Secretary of the Central Affairs and Minister of Internal Affairs, Reiz Malele, member of the Central Committee and Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Anastastal, Office for the Supreme Culture Committee of Art at Central Affairs, Central Affairs Committee, Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee, Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs Committee, etc. etc.), not the strong “status” of the person who was interested in connecting his life with the singer in question, which naturally involved and came because of his origin and social status, as an Albanian who lived and worked abroad, even in the United States, but the great influence and authority he had on the top Albanian leadership of that time?
This is best seen in the report for higher leadership, the chairman of the Committee on Social Relations and Foreign Culture, George Melica, where the diaspora Albanian, Agim Z..., in phone conversation, has treated it, neither less nor more, but as an obedient subordinate of his... Not only that, but it seems that Melica has not had the courage to object to any of what he has asked for, even to carry out his orders to meet those people he (Agim Z...) has suggested and at the end of the phone conversation very kindly, or rather with fear, has he wished well for the co-talkers who spoke from the United States?!
The humble behaviour of the head of the Culture Committee to the US “Albanian from “> came after Melica knew very well the potential or status of Agim Z..., to the “leadership associates” in Tirana, since he himself (Jogos) in 1986, by means of an official report, has announced his superior leadership in Mr Agim... and all the activity and <x4works<5> he performed in the US, across the world and when he came to Albania for work visits... It is not known exactly whether Agim Z... there were really meetings and conversations with famous singer Eli Fara, or those mentioned in Melica's report were just his wishes or fantasies...? But, as of above, there would be nothing wrong with the fact that, if he had really met and was familiar with thechoristy singer, or had made plans together, as stated in the “Secret Team” report, for a meeting of them, when she would have been in Greece with the Ansamblin “Korça task>, where Eli had started her career as a singer.
Always according to the documents in question, unlike the kindness of the famous director Vera Grabucka, who has suggested to Agim Z... that: “... should not talk with the Committee or the guide, but the problem of marrying Eli Seed, raising fellow Spiro Dede, who has influence of leadership and may help make this marriage to Agim”. George Melica, according to the orientations, orders or orders he received from the “leadership associates”, have not attempted to call Eli Seed and advise her, (to give up that relationship, or to announce and receive permission in relevant competent bodies), but have they informed the Interior Ministry of her pursuit? Similarly, the “leaders of leadership” have not attempted or dared to advise, nor Agim Z..., saying that the problem of marrying singer Eli Fara had to be resolved, not on friendly ways, but on legal paths like all other Albanian citizens.
But they have chosen the shortest route of surveillance and the pursuit of State Security for the popular singer, as was common at that time for all writers and artists, and not alone. As with much of this book's documents, these are published completely but not revealing the full identity of the main character referred to in this chapter.

On the day of 22.8.1989... The outside service centralist, without asking me if I wanted to speak or not, tied me directly: Did Mr. Dawn talk here? Dawn asked me: “How are you friend George”? Speak from Canada. Peace be upon you and upon Adam. He's working on the materials, and he'll soon announce the”. I asked him: How you doing? And what now this morning? Anything urgent? He told me it's 2. How many lunches did I care to ask if you were told by the escort Hulus Hismo, since when I was there I said something about Eli the Seed? I told him, I didn't know anything. Hulus is on vacation and I haven't met him. Please, he told me, meet him and be interested in my problem. I told her, now it's hard for me that people are on leave, but I'll ask. Then Dawn asked me: Have you met Reiz Bega? I said no. Dawn was surprised and said: You haven't seen him in an hour, he's been in Albania for days. I told him to care about my problem. I told him I'd see him. Thank me. I wished them good health and work. Say hello, said Comrade Spiro Dede.
On the date 24.7.1989.1989, Izmini Haxhiu, an employee of the National Museum, informed me that on the day of 22.4.1989... And said to him: When I was in Tirana, I talked to Eli Seed about getting married. Eli the Seed has agreed to marry her, and the son of his first marriage will not take her with him. According to Izmin, Agim has told Eli Fara on August 15th will go with Ansamblin “Korca” in Greece, and there will be Agim waiting to take him with him.
When he was here, this problem, Agim Z... He spoke to Vera Grabocka, a television director, who, according to Izmin, told him that he should not talk to the Committee or the guide, but the problem of marrying Eli Seed, raise fellow Spiro Dede, who has influence over leadership and can help him get married to Agim.
From other sources, we learn that when Agim was here, he met Eli the Seed, and Agim accompanied him, and on the day of his departure left a package of gifts.
For all of this, we have informed the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
We announced and the PTT's directorate that their action does not seem fair to us that without our thinking, it connects us directly to a person on the outside.
