The first of Pristina, which from today has yet another mandate to lead Kosovo's capital, Shpend Ahmeti spoke to many citizens who have come out to celebrate with him and all activists of the Vetevendosje Movement tonight.
Ahmeti has on this occasion thanked all who have arrived in Pristina squares to celebrate with him and Vetevendosje.
This is the full speech:
We must continue the path we have started because it is seen that crime we have not yet fought permanently in Pristina and that there is still to fight crime and organised crime.
Good jobs in Pristina have begun but have not been finished for the next four years, we vow to work with those who want good for Pristina and who in Pristina are already seen to be majority.
I thank first every voter and citizen of the capital for a genuine election process that we do not have after the war in Kosovo. Thank you all for voting, the second thanks to all our voters, our activists, our volunteers and those who have slept in the polling station for two weeks to keep every vote you've given.
I thank every activist in Vetevendosje and AKR for their work, to celebrate today the second term in Pristina, writes Indexline.
Thank you for the name of Selim Pacolli who is not with us tonight. On behalf of Albin Kurti and two MPs being held unjustly and thank our activists who are also in prison but who voted on election day. I thank the Magyar, diaspora, who keep our economy alive and also voted over 90% for the Vetevendosje Movement.
So all these goodwill people have become together to protect the city because in 2013 it was to change, and that was to protect the city. We managed to protect him with all of you.
Tonight we celebrate together, for Pristina, Prizren and Kamenica. We are working to make Pristina better with people of goodwill. I know there's a lot of slander and reproach, but today's the time we make our 100 vows for the next four years.
