5 reasons why China's army is weaker than we think. (Photo)

Historically, China was a country that experienced conquests, civil wars and rebellions that tested the government's army and its ability to protect the country's interest and security. In the 21st century, China made efforts to modernise itself by thus competing with Western counterparts. With no more than 2.3 million men and [...]

With no more than 2.3 million men and women in its armed forces and 800,000 other individuals in its reserves, China may have frightening figures, but the issue has plunged into various controversys.

This raises questions whether the country can take part in global expeditions such as hunting past Osama bin Laden or sending forces to help countries that have experienced disaster, reports “BeondSciencetv”, Periscopi broadcast.

These are five reasons why China's army might be weaker than we think!

5-Fond poor

In a report by the Commission for Economic and Security Review, it was found that China's military gains over the past decades have been <x0-king) largely, and [the People's Liberation Army] is becoming increasingly a professional and capable force to compete with other powers. ”

Despite these impressive advances, however, the report concludes that China's People's Liberation Army suffers from potentially serious weaknesses. These shortcomings may limit its ability to successfully carry out joint operations of Chinese military strategies based on information, integrated, required to fight and win future wars.

4-Contrascious Trust

It is a common recognition or common sense in most countries of the world that their armed forces have sworn allegiance to their governments regardless of the political affiliation or ideology of the country.

However, it is another story with the Chinese army. According to the U.S. Congress Research Service, the People's Liberation Army is not a national army belonging to the state. Rather, it serves as an armed arm to the Communist party.

3-Major Reduction

To date, the Pentagon says it costs about $17,500 to equip a single US Armed Forces soldier. This includes high-tech weapons, advanced equipment, body armor, and all other necessary means.

In China, however, because the Chinese army is mired in corruption within its ranks and stuck in Communist Party politics, their soldiers are not much armed. According to reports, the necessary material that a Chinese soldier holds costs around 1,500 dollars for all his equipment and almost half of that amount goes only for weapons.

2 - No battle training.

Each year, it is reported that the Chinese army recruits over 6 million individuals for training. While this may be a red flag for many nations, it would have been very impressive and imposing if these recruits did not disappear in a month.

According to a “report The Diplomat”, university students of the whole of China participate in their mandatory training before the start of the hours. What is even more interesting is the method in which these students are trained. “There is a series of mandatory lectures,” reports The Diplomat, “that students enter into the national defence strategy and the party's last doctrine”.

1 - Low recruit standards.

Students who want to join the Chinese Army undergo a rigorous physical and medical examination to determine whether they are capable of war. Unfortunately, this comes from the Beijing Army Recruiting Office, where 60 percent of students and applicants do not take the exam. The problem, they say, is that many of these students and applicants are overweight, underweight, weak, or poor.

Because of these reasons, among other things, the government decided to lower the degree of recruiting. Standards fell in 2008 and then again in 2011. No matter what the fundamental reason is whether to meet a quota of recruiting or to create the illusion that the Chinese army is steadily increasing in number every year, recruits who pass standards are extremely low. /Periscopi/
