Isa Kastrati is one of the most prominent activists in the national issue.

His son, Central Kastrati, is now a candidate from the Vetevendosje Movement for chairmanship of Kamenica. He has managed to enter the runoff against LDK candidate Shaip Surdul.

Surdul was accused of campaigning inappropriately against Kastrati, that he is telling the Serbs in this municipality that Isa Kastrati was a terrorist, therefore should not vote the son of a terrorist, even though this has not been accepted by Surdul, not confirmed by accusers.

The first charge was dropped by a VV member in this municipality.

Mirvette Klaiqi Rashit openly accused Surdulli of this kind of campaign against Kastrati.

But who really was Isa Kastrati?

Isa Kastrati was an activist and intellectual who worked without stopping for the rights of Kosovo Albanians to have their right to independent states.

He has held 10.5 years in prison as a result of his commitments against Yugoslavia.

On 21 April 1999, he and his fellow fighters are in ambush of Serbian forces, where after a shootout he and his fellow fighters remain dead.

In a 1997 video in Rogana, Dardana, is seen as Isa Kastrat interacts with the villagers, sharing his ideas with them.

The reception philosophy is very dangerous, that you remain eared, and I can turn your head in any whistle. Of course, all the odds are not exhausted and it is our destiny that no such odds have been taken, he said.

Kastrati proposed that residents be more insisted that internationals be imposed as a factor.
