Vuk Jeremic forms new party, jeopardises Vuciqi stability

At the Foundation Assembly, in the presence of 352 delegates, Jeremic was unanimously elected as party president, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
Also unanimously, antarwt elected Miroslav Aleksic as the first deputy chairman, and Sinisa Kovacevic, Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, Svetozar Ciplic, Zdravko Ponos and Nikola Jovanovic as vice president.
The delegates also approved the People's Party programme and statute. Among the principles of the programme are <x0) a modern policy with a developed economy, rule of law and independent institutions, reconciliation between nation and citizen in Serbia, as well as the country's military neutrality”.
This manifest also includes a requirement for depoliticising the security device in Serbia, as well as the need to adopt a law on lustration.
Speaking at the meeting held at Belgrade's Metropol Hotel over the weekend, Jeremic promised that the party would fight against “regime” ) which he described as being disunited by the people, and said the upcoming local elections, but still unplanned in Belgrade would be a chance for the first major victory of the opposition since 2012. ”/Periscopi/
