Representatives of the Central Election Commission, prosecutors and police have been declared ready for the success of today's local elections in the country.

In the October 22nd local elections, there are 1 million and 900 thousand eligible citizens registered.

The Central Election Commission has certified more than 200 candidates, 91 political subjects, a coalition, 30 civic initiatives, 25 independent candidates and 7080 candidates for municipal assembly.

The October 22nd elections will be monitored by about 33 thousand and 200 observers, who represent certified political subjects, local NGOs, international organisations, embassies, local and international media.

Order authorities in Kosovo say they have made the necessary preparations for organising local elections so that security in the country is high.

The October 22nd local elections will be held in 38 municipalities in Kosovo. As a result, the new mayors and councillors will be elected in municipal municipalities.
