Animal rights activists have criticised the forest department for failing to save large cats.
Wild animals activists had challenged the Court's order to murder the tiger issued by the forest department on June 23rd, but the court rejected their complaint Thursday.
Tiger was first captured in July following the murder of two people and four injured in the town of Brahmappuri of Maharashtras.
He was later released in Bor Tiger Reserve later, but killed two others later.
India is home to 60% of the world's tigers, who are threatened by the loss of habitat where they are killed to use body parts in traditional Chinese medicine.
The deaths of Tigers have increased steadily in recent years. In 2015, Indian officials reported the death of 80 tigers, compared to 78 last year. /Periscopi/
