President Thaci thanked for the EU's readiness to monitor local elections, for which the president has voiced confidence that they will be held in a democratic spirit.
Kosovo has already testified that it knows to organise free, fair and democratic elections, accepted by all political parties and the international community. This tradition will again be witnessed on Sunday”, the president stressed.
On the other hand, EU Monitoring Mission chief for Kosovo elections Alinejz Peterle has stressed that EU monitors will be distributed throughout Kosovo to monitor the prosperity of local elections.
President Thaci has given full support to EU monitors for their work on monitoring these elections.
