A Japanese researcher, Kazue Yamagishi, has invented a new toothwash that fixes problems once they have emerged.
Tooth decay is usually treated by removing the affected part and then filling the hole with a resin or metal alloy, the newspaper Express broadcast.
This is not so good because during the process a portion of the fat tooth is removed so that the filling can be done properly.
Dr. Yamamishi and his colleagues have developed a toothbrush that is chemically modified and crystallized, and that can repair early damage to a tooth.
While this is good news for patients, this may not be good news for dentists. The makeup of the toothbrush is similar to that of the tooth enamel, only in liquid form and can thus be applied to a toothbrush.
After the paste is applied to the teeth, acid on the tooth's surface begins to spread, and three minutes later it crystallizes, fixing itself on the enamel. /Gazzeta Health
