Spanish police begin confiscating ballot boxes in Catalonia

Spanish national police have begun to confiscate ballot boxes and ballot ballots from the Catalan polling stations, Spain's Interior Ministry has said today.

Police have clashed with voters near a polling site in Barcelona, where dozens of policemen use riot shields to repel people, Reuters reports.
