The discriminating position of Albanians in Serbia cannot compare in any circumstance to the position of Kosovo Serbs. So said in a media statement the leader of the Party for Democratic Action, Riza Halimi, who has criticised the Serbian government for placing <x0-horgans in Presevo Valley

According to him, Serbian List Chairman Goran Rakiq, after the Kosovo government's election, had declared their inspection of Haradinaj Government to ensure that Serbs have a better life. The “immediately continues and shows that it is happy that Albanians failed to choose Serbian political representatives”, Halimi has said.

He has indicated he does not want to compare the political and legal position of Serbs in Kosovo and Albanians in Serbia. “Because the discriminatory position of Albanians in Serbia, who are failing to achieve even basic rights ahead of the Constitutions and current laws in Serbia, cannot in any way compare to the position of the Kosovo Serbs whose rights under the Constitution of Kosovo are unique and achieve the highest levels that no national community has in any state of the world”, Halimi has said.

He has added that the two goals Rakiq highlights in his statement are completely legitimate political requirements and that there has been no problem of fulfillment in Kosovo even now. “Well, it is a paradox of its kind that at the same time these basic political rights are being denied to Albanians in Serbia”, Halimi says.

He has said that during Milosevic's regime the only Albanian deputies had the actualisation of the Albanian issue in the Presevo Valley. “That is why Presevo Valley deputy in March 2009 had signed, along with local government minister and O ambassador The SBE , the Agreement for Principles of Reorganising the Serbian Government Co-ordination Body with the aim of substantial participation of Albanians in this Serbian Government body”.

But, according to Halim, this agreement, which had also been adopted with the Serbian Government's decision, remained irrevocable because good political will was lacking in Serbia's state leadership. The Serbian government also failed to realise the 7-point programme it approved in 2013 on the basis of the proposal of legitimate representatives of Albanians.

The “as long as the Serbs in Kosovo based on Ahtisaari's documents, in addition to the 10 mandates guaranteed in the Kosovo Assembly, have also guaranteed the substantial participation in Kosovo Government, which is currently realised with a deputy prime minister and leadership of three very important ministries, on the other side Albanians in Serbia are completely marginalised, as well as the Serbian Government Co-ordination Body for Presevo, Bujanoc of Medve, the region with about 66 %Albanians, lead the Serbs from Belgrade alone<1).

According to Halimi, this drastic marginalisation of Albanians even in a sub-government body, which has only co-ordination characters, is continuing both the highest state and government leadership under conditions when the Albanian deputy to create an atmosphere of co-operation in the last year had supported the current parliamentary majority in Serbia's Parliament.

The anticivilising treatment of Albanians on the part of state structures in the worst form was reflected in the dismissal of the Presevo Assembly and the appointment of the interim body, with the Serbian government ignoring either the Constitution or the Law for Local Power. With the most drastic discrimination methods following the flagrant ignorance of Albanian deputies, the Serbian government in the worst form depreciated the political will of the absolute majority of Albanian voters, who in the Presevo Assembly had 27 of the total 38 advisers (71.1%). Typical autocrat methods using the known model of the Milosevic regime of “Honest Albanians”, the Serbian government gave absolute power to the chairman and deputy chairman of the Alternative for Change, who had only 11 advisers in the municipal Assembly, as well as the chairman of the Serbian Progressive Party branch, which had no advisers in this Parliament”, is said to have reacted to Halim.

In this way, he has said that this installed triple will lead the Presevo municipality until early elections, which are unknown when they will be held, in their ranks there is no framework for universal preparation.

According to Halimi, it is clear that this is the continuation of the failed model of Milosevic's regime, which is best attested to by statements by Serbia's president, who on April 25th 2017, was Serbia's prime minister, following the dismissal of Shqip Arifi from the mayor's post (March 10th 2017) immediately after severe criticism of Albania's prime minister and Kosovo chairman, had criticised The UE if they were weakening developments in the local Presevo government, where, according to him, “the good people who co-operated with power” have changed, RTK reports.

“But it is even more absurd that, according to the Serbian prime minister, Presevo's chairman had changed on the basis of political orders from another side, read by Pristina or Tirana”, Halimi has reacted.

According to him, it is evident that the 14 September scenario for the provisional measures that are in reality violent measures for Presevo have been warned since April 25th with pronounced statements. So, at the same time when Rakiqi of the Serbian List is rightly proud that Serbs in Kosovo elected their representatives, in Serbia, the known old models are being implemented, but in the new package, under which Albanians do not have to tire of their legitimate representatives because the Serbian government is taking care of installing good Albanians, with whom they can co-operate”, Halimi has said.
