The AKR candidate for Pristina Mayor Selim Pacolli has not yet decided who he will support, Shpend Ahmeti or Arba Abush, who will again face the battle for the capital on November 19th.
Pacolli says there are no red lines for anyone, but he mentions certain conditions that the candidate should meet that requires his support.
In the race for Pristina as the third result has AKRA candidate Selim Pacolli emerged. The one with 90 per cent of the votes counted has received 8 thousand and 108 votes translated in percentages around 10,28, leaving the AAK PDK behind in this municipality.
In a statement to Gazeta Express, a day after the elections, Selim Pacolli has declared he is satisfied with the result. He says he has not expected anything more by claiming that Pristina citizens have voted more on political subjects than on programmes or individuals who have been in the race.
The result is actually in my expectations. This is the sovereign verdict. In my city's voter, you can't see a prediction of programs or individuals. More votes are being voted into the subject as a whole and do not analyse much, projects or election programmes. I see Shpend or Vetevendosje as my favourite today. This is my very personal perception”, Pacolli said.
And while in terms of coalitions for the second round of elections with one of Pristina's mayoral candidates, Pacolli says he has some conditions. He claims that the red line with no candidate is available, but that according to him, there are five points of the AKRA programme that should meet other candidates if they want to be in a coalition with the AKRANA. Nor does it rule out the possibility of making a coalition with LDK's Arbashin.
“The political subject has its own structures. My personal claims differ from the party. But I would, if I entered the negotiations, certainly ask for the implementation of at least some parts of my programme. I've had five main points with which I've built my agenda and my program. If they embrace my ideas then we sit down and analyze them. I don't have red lines with anybody. We have to sit down and negotiate for the interests of my city”, Pacolli says.
