Of the 70 (seven) professors who have been researched in their work, 40 %s have a presence of plagiarism. The same, as a result of the works, they are called to their academic titles, but also to their academic positions within the University of Pristina.

This research has been provided by Radio Kosovo, which has been done by the Edguard Institute, but has not yet been published.

Works by some of the professors at Pristina University have resulted in plagiarism. According to data provided by Radio Kosova, the works which have been revised have been the work of professors' doctors, but their scientific publications as well.

Youth Qehaja from the Eduaruar Institute, which has been taken up with this research, said that despite having been described as acceptable to the university during their advance process, the same have been proven to have a presence of plagiarism.

The findings show that out of 70 (seven) professors who have been investigated testify that there is a large number of plagiaratures to 40. This makes it disturbing to know that the same as a result of the works are called to their academic titles, but also in their academic positions within the UPP”, Qehaja said.

The Kehaja explains that the presence of plagiarism has been on several levels, including topics between colleagues within the faculty itself, between professors and students, and others.

The student's “activities are involved and are not quoted in publication, and the presence at a higher rate is that there are no real references to when it was participated, selected paragraphs not referred to by international work. The greatest presence of plagiarism is from the topic and international work to continue with the plagiarism that has been done in collaboration between colleagues and students”, he said.

While Prorector for Scientific Research at Pristina University Faton Berisha told Radio Kosovo that the University of Pristina has designed a system of creditability of scientific magazines, where academic staff works are published. He said that the control of quality and plagiarism in professor's scientific publications, the university delegates to the reactors, who control the work and propose it for publication.

“I don't think that as far as scientific works are concerned, Pristina University has problems with plagiarism. These are English-language works published in credit magazines and subject to the critical eye of the entire scientific community in the respective field, and I don't think that here there is any problem with plagiarism”, Berisha said.

On the other hand, the work is different with publications of manuals and remote texts for use in Albanian. Berisha, said the quality issue in general of such texts remains, and especially the problem for plagiarism.

“According to the regulation for university text publishing, UPI has a control and balance system that should ensure the quality of such texts, so that there is no internal plagiarization. This system starts with the detectives, the faculty council, the editors, and finally the publishing council. This matter of plagiarism would be well addressed if we had a national system that detects various parts of texts that match between various publications. It's good to be regulated by law, where for all topics protected at universities to go through a software system and then collect text funding in that system, the percentage is detected and the percentage is determined how compatible they are with another text”, he said.

If the University Senate has records and facts of plagiarism in the work of professors, then it has an Ethics Council which, under the regulation, defines procedures for concrete measures.
