The man who raped and killed a 4-year-old girl (Photo) is executed in public

A Witness convicted of rape and murder of a four-year-old girl was executed before crowds in the second such death sentence in the capital Sana in the past two weeks.

Hussain al-Saket, 22, was shot several times by a police officer in the town's Tarhrir Square, reports The Independent”, the Periscope broadcast.

His body was then hanged by the top of a crane to see the crowd.

Rajeh Ezzidine, a judge who attended the execution, said he was convicted of kidnapping, rape and murder of the young girl.

Photos show that 22-year-old is lying on a carpet before being executed.

This is the second public execution for a similar work in the rebel-controlled capital Shia Houth in the past two weeks.

Muhammad al-Maghrab was earlier shot with a rifle after being convicted of raping and killing a three-year-old girl.

Public executions have been used by rebels as a demonstration of how they are fighting crime in the region.

Since the second half of 2014, Sana has been controlled by rebels Houthi.
