What was envisioned for publishing files related to the murder of former US President John F. Kennedy is not final, as only 2, 891 out of about 3, 200 remaining secret documents were published on Thursday. The publication of 2,891 files from the US National Archives aimed [...]
The publication of 2,891 files by the US National Archives aimed to comply with the Assembly Act of the 1992 JFK Murder Documents, which determined the release of documents to the public no later than on October 26, 2017.
The law, adopted by Congress and signed by then-President George HW Bush, aimed at fanning conspiracy theories about Kennedy's death, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.
The CIA and other agencies have long resisted making the information public, causing controversy between politicians and ordinary Americans, and in the last minute managed to block the release of some of the latest files.
Before publishing the files, President Trump promised to allow the opening of “blocked and classified”, pending analysis. However, thousands of pages are still being held at the request of US government agencies, including the US State Department, FBI and CIA.
US President Trump said the American public expects and deserves access to the files. “I am ordering today that the blanket is finally removed”, he said.
At the same time, executive departments and agencies have proposed that specific information continue to be edited because of national security, law enforcement and foreign affairs issues. I have no choice today, but to accept those editings instead of allowing potentially irreversible damage to our country's security”, Trump said.
The remaining documents undergo a six-month review process, with a new release date of April 26, 2018.
The grim official conclusion of Kennedy's death that he was killed by a single gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald, has led to a variety of conspiracy theories surrounding the death of the president.

The most popular among them says Kennedy was killed by the CIA or other elements of the American government.
Cuban leader Fidel Castro, the mafia, Israeli intelligence and a variety of other groups have also been appointed as potential conspiracy.
CIA theory popularized by film director Oliver Stone 1991 “JFK”, more popular. The film was one of the factors that inspired the creation of the 1992 JFK's Collection Act./Periscopi/
