He visits the CEC's operating room together, from where he received all information regarding the election's prosperity. As you saw in the operating room, there is no indication right now that something is going wrong. The elections are going quietly. There's probably some minor incidents here, but don't forget there are 2 million voters and there are a lot of people involved in this election, so even after some human error it's nothing strange”, aka said.
While, State Chief Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi has said they have notified the American ambassador that there have been no incidents so far, except one case where one person has been detained and procedures are under way.
We all agreed that the election process is going well. It's a quiet day and we haven't had any irregularities during the election process. And we showed the ambassador that we would make every effort to protect a fair election process and the right to vote. We have also been co-ordinated with the CEC and with the police to take all necessary quick actions in each case, which ends with any suspicion based on any criminal offense. So far we haven't had many cases. We only had one case that one person was detained. The procedure against him will continue, while other cases we have not had”, Lumez said.
While the police chief, Shpend Maxhuni, has reconfirmed that the process is going well and without incident. He has also announced that police are acting on schedule and have large numbers of police officials engaged.
“Even I can confirm, since the security aspect in the election process, there are no incidents of serious nature. Kosovo police are planning a lot of measures for this day. Actually, we started our commitments in the pre-election phase a few days ago. But, today we have a relatively large number of police officials in different capacities, to provide security in different aspects in all polling stations where this process will be held and will be conveyed to us in order to make sure that eventually there are any natural incidents that should be engaged or detained by Kosovo police, she will take all necessary actions and measures with the time of”, Maxhu said.
