Migrants from Tunisia, 8 Dead in the Mediterranean

At least eight people have lost their lives as a result of a boat crash with illegal immigrants on a ship flagged by Tunisia in the Mediterranean Sea. The news has been announced by the Italian news agency ANSA, which reported that the accident occurred in the section between Tunisia and Malta in the Mediterranean Sea at 2: 00 a.m. local time.
ANSA stressed that the search-saving activities of people on the boat that were sunk as a result of the crash have started in co-ordination with Malta, adding that at least eight people have lost their lives, while many others have been rescued from competent teams.
And so, ANSA announced that the search activities include fleet, coastal security and financial police teams stationed on Lapedusa Island, the nearest Italian territory with the region, and that activities are continuing due to the possibility of the existence of the missing.
Meanwhile, other Italian media have claimed that there were 70 persons on the boat.
